It was probably getting a poo ton of traffic from fans of teams googling him and they didn't want to pay for bandwidth for fans of other teams looking to poach their guy.

I can't really find anything on Ossenfort.

Basically, he's known and well-respected in NFL circles! He worked directly under Nick Caserio. He was blocked by the Pats from even interviewing with the Texans for their GM job a few years back (which may not have set well with him). The Pats did allow him to interview with the Brownies, as his contract was almost up anyway (one in which he allowed to expire last year), but the Browns picked Andrew Berry of course. He then went on to work for the Titans!

Say what you want! He is respected, the Patriots did get some notable names while he was there like Joe Thuney, Trey Flowers, Shaq Mason and Chase Winovich.

You must remember that he was a compiler of information, and not the guy who made the final decisions! It's also worth remembering that because the Pats have been so historically good during his tenure, that they always drafted late in the first, or early in the second (due to trading down). Of course, you can pontificate about why the Pats were successful, but at the end of the day, Ossenfort has multiple rings to show for his efforts.
