haha you mean a building team with a good head coach a good front office and a young good quarterback?

but you wouldnt know what those things are....your a panthers fan right? ;)

edit: no offense to my friends here....he started it :)

None taken a lot of posters here are idiots. I actually think the dolphins are in better shape then us at the time. But we are one good QB away from greatness.

Just like we don't need a retread coach, we don't need someone else's throwaway at quarterback. If you can't get a true starter, then draft a guy who has starter potential. Most backups are backups for a reason. Certainly not someone to build a franchise around.

Good thing you weren't a coach during our Superbowl year when we decided to give a shot to someone elses throwaway quarterback.

Or a certain Patriots HC taking a flier on a guy who had never even started in college. That move far and away is the biggest one in the history of the game IMO (but it was just luck anyone that says otherwise is a fool). Or a certain Rams coach who took a guy that was cut by numerous teams that won a MVP and a SB. Although it is far easier to draft a franchise QB in the 1st it is not the only way.

ya the panthers and dolphins are in scary similar situations. both a few pieces away from a great team. both can compete at this stage with anyone in the league......so close. soooo close.

Jake wasn't a throwaway he was a never was. Big difference. Thigpen has had a chance to start 14 games and he sucked. He is like McCown who is another backup and not a starter. A lot like Weinke for us in 2001, another career backup do nothing. Jake was like Romo when he came in. A multi year backup who never got to start and came in and did good. Actually Jake started 2 games in 5 years with New Orleans but the point is the same. Neither of them looked back.

With a front office who wants to sell the team, a GM who is only there cause he is a man of his word? Plus you are really a hokus pokus team, not a real team, cause your team doesn't have enough good position players to line up and win games without gimmicks. Go ahead and think you are better than West Virginia, never mind, y'all drafted their Qb to run that stuff! Just quit the NFL, and join the MAC, or WAC, then you'll go a little farther after december!

Picking Tyler Thigpen who started 14 games in 2008 and sucked is not the same as a Patriots head coach who drafts Cassel in the seventh round and started him because Brady was injured. That was necessity. But seriously you think that was the biggest risk or gamble in the history of the NFL> Seriously??? And Warner had a good history in NFL Europe before he got here winning a title there as well.

Sure you don't need a first rounder to find a starter but what does any of what you said relate to Thigpen being a potential starter versus career third stringer on a decent team. He couldn't even unseat a rookie this year.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
