Chad Johnson fined for fake bribe

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Johnson (or Ochocinco, if you prefer) pretended to slip a dollar to one of the refs this past Sunday. He did it as a joke. The NFL didn't find it funny and levied a $20,000 fine.

I'm certainly not an apologist for Chad Whateverhescallinghimself (I think he's a clown) and in the aftermath of the whole Tim Donaghy debacle in the NBA, I can understand being a little sensitive, but seriously? Fines of 20 grand for this, and likewise 20 grand to Jay Cutler for essentially hurting a ref's feelings? Sheesh :sosp:

I agree the fine is BS,

I don't have a problem with Chad, clowns are suppose to be funny

The NFL needs to pull that giant stick out of its ass

I think Stallworth got a raw deal. He passed a field sobriety test. The guy he hit was intoxicated far beyond what Stallworth was. On top of that he has to live with the fact that he's been at least somewhat responsible for the death of another person.

You think Stallworth got a raw deal? How about the poor guy he ran over? Hes the one that got the raw deal. He cant go back to work next year.

    • They will be if they extend Young but I don't think we're there just yet. Morgan and Canales are tied and I don't believe Tepper is going to go look for a new front office for Bryce as things stand.
    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
