If you hate Destiny, I get it.Ā  Everyone has their games they love.Ā Ā 

Destiny is that game for me, for better and worse šŸ˜ƒĀ  Today was the live stream which showed off some of the things we have to look forward to in the coming year with The Witch Queen expansion on 2.22.22 (nice date there).Ā  I will probably (definitely) take a day off later that week as log in servers stabilize to jump in fully.

So Destiny is starting to really change.Ā  The past year has really seen the storytelling improve by leaps and bounds.Ā  There are character arcs throughout, though we remain the silent protagonist who is the tip of the mighty spear that kills evil with impunity.Ā  Still some cool stuff in that role, but I do miss having any kind of voice..

After watching that, I am so beyond pumped and amazed.Ā  I'm going to preorder to uber edition ASAP.Ā  The new ghost...oh boy!Ā  I can't wait!

There is a separate Bungie 30th party in December where the loot cave becomes a dungeon.Ā  Oh yeah!Ā  And Gally is coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Can we get to 9-8?

      A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams andĀ our divisional opponents.Ā I think weā€™ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we canĀ spring a further surprise.Ā  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? Iā€™m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, itā€™s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.

      I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can ā€œforceā€ a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?Ā  Iā€™m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. Thereā€™s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams ā€œdraft meā€. Iā€™m not sure weā€™ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the teamā€™s hand.Ā

      Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He wonā€™t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
