Christian McCaffery needs to be used less while staying on the field

I said this during the Pittsburgh preseason game when the line got obliterated, when Christian is on the field, no team can put pressure on us because of his ability to catch on the dumpoff for 5-10+ yards.

When this proved correct against the Jets and Saints, the Panthers insisted on running CMC into piles right up the middle, putting obvious strain on his body.

Christian McCaffery's worth isn't getting hit, it's simply just him BEING OUT THERE for the defense to have to honor. We could be using 3 back formations with Chubba Hubbard taking the hard hits when we need to run up the middle, while keeping Christian out there for that threat to honor...CMC brings little TO NO value as a 99% of snap every down back.

No crap he got hurt, he's getting hit 30-40 times a game, lower that to 10-20 at most and he stays on the field.

Why are we using his hits on meaningless 2-3 yard carries? NO PLAYER IN HISTORY can take the punishment CMC takes game after game in a 17 game season... It's been a joke since 18 when we cut CJ Anderson just to give CMC 100% of snaps.

Totally disagree we paid him to be the bell cow and you giver your bell cow the ball. Look DavinCook got over 30 touches and they won. If he gets hurt that’s part of the game and we find another back. CMC vision and agility are his best attributes and I don’t want to take putting him into the slot to be some decoy. If you think CMC any last neither will Hubbard they are both built similar .Warrick Dunn was smaller than CMC and he played just fine from RB

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
