Fox is one of the most delusional, arrogant coaches in the league.

arrogant- yes

delusional- no

Fox knows how bad the team sucks, thats the worse part, we continue to be inconsistent, and he is aware of it.

At least he is consistent at being inconsistent.

Fox is arrogant because he will never throw his players or coaches under the bus in the media.

Thats class....

As much as we hate it as fans, thats why the players love him.

Not trying to call you a liar but besides Jake, which players have claimed they "love" him. Jake is an exception because he gives Fox blowjobs.

I think players love the protection Fox gives them....Carolina is a very player friendly place. I think they clearly love that about Fox.....

However, I think it is becoming more obvious as elite defensive talent wants out year after year....they don't love the lame coaching of Fox. I wouldn't be surprised if Steve hints at it at the end of the year if Fox stays.

GEEZ.... I dont have time to go look up every single account in which a player PRAISED Fox.

Just pay attention when you read articles about the team... yOU WILL see.

I know a lot of other coaches that don't play the blame game and they make GOOD decisions and WIN games. They don't make stupid decisions to protect players at the expense of a season or the fan base either.

Like an employee, Fox is simply selling his company to people. It's that simple. I doubt Jerry would love it that much if he simply folded and said... "hey, we suck!!!" haha

Other owners appreciate that also. If he gets fired at the end of the season and starts to look for new work, others will appreciate that. Fans... not so much. BUT business is business and this is the inner-workings.

    • https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/versatile-2nd-db-named-panthers-154026075.html Smith-Wade's ability to play corner, nickel and safety makes him valuable to a young defense trying to rebuild after finishing last in the NFL a year ago. "Chau took advantage of an opportunity,'' coach Dave Canales said. "He made tackles. He had an opportunity on an interception, and he made it.'' Our defense has got to come alive for us to have a chance of winning our Division!
    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
