It’s a little concerning since Miami blitzed us when we used a similar formation, though Makoun was in instead of Corujo… but yeah I’m thinking it’s a 5-2-3 with a back 3, 2 wing backs, 2 CM’s, and 3 forwards.

I guess theoretically you could call it a 3-4-3 but it’s obviously not the common 3-5-2 because we have 3 forwards in Shinyashiki, Swiderski, and Reyna. Super odd formation.

Lattanzio fuged the team from the start with this lineup. Tired of that poo, it lost them the Miami game and now we are getting shallacked by Toronto.

I’m just not about using five or six different formations as it’s an indicator that you are adapting to your opponent rather than forcing your opponent to adapt to you. Pick an attacking formation and defensive formation and perfect them.

Charlotte deploys all these different formations trying to combat certain tactics or personnel (tonight it’s the two Italians) that their opponent is employing and it never works.

Realistically, Charlotte would need to get around 22 more points to have a chance at the playoffs. So over the last 12 games they’d need to go 8-4 or 7-3-1, after tonight, it’s highly unlikely.

Imagine that… the team actually looks like they have a clue how to play when they aren’t in some ridiculously stupid formation… back in a 4-3-3 and getting scoring chances… not to mention, Gaines looks really good.
