Game 18: Bobcats @ Nets 12/4 Trap Game of the Year

Game isn't till tomorrow but after watching the blue devils lose and the recurring losses of the panthers, shifting focus to the bobcats and getting things started early. This is a trap game because the Nets have nothing to lose (they've never won anything this season 0-18)

If the Bobcats lose this game they not only lose their playoff spot (yeah, it's early in the season, but still) but they lose to the historically worst team ever so far. The Bobcats absolutely cannot afford to lose this game. Losing this game would have such a bad effect on the team.

Go Bobcats!

Yea I honestly think there is no chance we win this game.

Also, I am not buying for a second that this Nets team is the worst team ever. Yea the stats say they are, but look at what they have gone through this season. They've had 7 guys I think who are either making their debuts in the past few games, or have yet to play. Once they get everyone back they will not even come close to breaking the record for worst season.

well of course not seeing as though teams like the rockets and spurs have went out and intentionally tried to lose games in the past.

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of creating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
