After thinking about it this week.I have decided to be fair and give matt a chance and if he beats new england he can have the starting job and I admit I was wrong.

if he beats the Pats? Jake couldn't beat the Bills, Jets or Phins.....how about if Carolina simply is competitive and plays a good game.

The Defense lost us the miami game by letting pothead ricky run all over them, bills game was just bad playcalling we should of run the ball more as the bills have the worse run defense in the nfl,and jets game I give you that one it was pitful game by jake.

yes I'm sure jake turning the ball over in the redzone had nothing to do with losing to the Dolphins

jake only had one int that game so don't act like he played terrible. We would have had a chance to win that game had the defense got one stop at the end but noooooo let ricky run for a td just like all night he ate us up on the ground.

oh shut the hell up

he didn't even complete half his passes, he was constantly overthrowing his receivers, the interception is only the tip of the iceberg.

are you kidding? The Defense was on the field most of the game b/c our offense couldnt move the ball. Jake threw 3 incompletions at the goaline. Not to mention overthrowing Smitty, and everyone else on the field all night except 2 drives. and 1 of them was a throw away drive at the end of the game.

Don't blame jake that Jeff Davidson is a stupid moron and wont call a run play to have dwill & jstew to score down in the end zone(which is what we do best). Jake not as bad as you guys make him out to be our stupid offense cord puts him in stupid pos which makes him look bad.

why don't you just quit trying to shift blame off of him and admit that jake sucks and stop denying anything could possibly be his fault because he's your hero humble joe everyman QB that you small town rednecks love so f**king much

pretty sure our ground game ran through them like they were a wet paper bag......then Jake would put and end to everything good they did. Panthers should have been up big in the 1st half......playcalling and QB play cost us that game.

    • https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/versatile-2nd-db-named-panthers-154026075.html Smith-Wade's ability to play corner, nickel and safety makes him valuable to a young defense trying to rebuild after finishing last in the NFL a year ago. "Chau took advantage of an opportunity,'' coach Dave Canales said. "He made tackles. He had an opportunity on an interception, and he made it.'' Our defense has got to come alive for us to have a chance of winning our Division!
    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
