#89 for mvp!!!

89 does it again. How bout that catch he made in the 4th to help put us in FG range to win this game? I know few people will mention it or credit it with winning this game, but IMO that catch was the biggest play of the game for us. If we expect to do any damage in the playoffs we need to find ways to get #89 the ball. I dont care how many rushing TDs or how many rushing yards we put up, if we dont open up our passing game FAST we wont do much in January. My gameball this week goes to #89, greatest Panther of all time.

Props to Smith you could tell he wanted this one bad, as evidence by him returning a punt to get involved when he wasn't doing much early.

I'll throw in a vote for 34 as well, those last two runs were pure want to.. he broke 4 tackles to get the first down and make sure the field goal was in reach.

Because you are obviously the better QB.

WTF does that have to do with it? Fact is, Jake can't lead a receiver to save his ass and often times he forces the ball into double coverage. Smitty saved his bacon (and has for as long as he's been on the team).

And it's not just Smith, he throws behind everyone.

    • I wouldn't argue he's handled things well in Cleveland since his draft tumble. I give him credit for that. Draft eval really only matters if they got it right. And with Shedeur, I think time will beat out that they did. Like others, he'll leave behind some cool highligh reels, but something less than a great career.
    • I don't put Bryce any higher than that, but I don't put Murray up there either.  And we've touched on the reason: an unfortunate tendency to choke. You can have all the best stats in any game you play in, but if you choke at a crucial point and lose the game, guess how much those stats count for? And I will at least admit this when it comes to Bryce: his game performances of late definitely don't reflect choking. Just the opposite, in fact.
    • It's a matter of perspective. Hell, TB12 was skipped over 198 times for example. I mean, Montana, Wilson, Dak and a few others were skipped many times before they were drafted. Warner and Romo went undrafted for Pete's sake. Don't get me started on misses (and not just QBs).  His attitude didn't help, but it was reported just as much that scouts/execs didn't necessarily believe he was a day one or two guy. Like I suggested, we'll never know the whole story. Moreover, you can't get around the fact that he's handled his situation in Cleveland with flying colors. That's been widely reported as well.
