Keep John Fox for 2010, or don't.

First, Merry Christmas to everyone. This is a great board for Panthers fans.

Yes, I, for one think Cowher makes that much of a difference.

As far as SouthCak's post, what he says in that post has been said every single year Fox has been here except the first year.

I guess there is not much point in listing the litany of justifications for replacing Fox. The justifications have all been posted before. We all have our opinions of those justifications and we won't change.

It's going to come down to JR, and JR, alone.

If we start Moore next year, pick up a good #2 receiver and draft a QB for the future, Fox can take this team deep into the playoffs. I think if we make those same moves and switch coaches, the adjustment would be difficult and we wouldn't see the same kind of success that Fox could have without changing systems. I don't know how all that would turn out for future seasons, but for next season I think Fox could have one of his best seasons.

Cowher had 3 losing and one .500 season in 15 at Pittsburg. That ain't too shabby. His teams lost one, ONE, game when leading by at least 10 points at halftime (they blew another fair sized lead that resulted in a tie game). If nothing else, he seems to know how to make adjustments, and good ones at that. I don't know if he is a 'savior', or 'the answer' for what this team needs. But he (and us fans) deserve for him to have at least an interview for the job. He's still a fairly young guy, and his record is as impressive as anyone else's is, especially among the retreads whose names are mentioned for head coaching positions. Of all those retreads, I'll take Cowher.
