I think Fox is leaving

No coach right now makes that much Fox makes 4.5 this season and I read he is supposed to make 6 next. The highest paid coach this season only made 5.5 mil.

Rumors are that Cowher walked from the Steelers for money. The $10 mil has been reported plenty (whereas the "fox is leaving" rumors haven't seen any realistic representation).

Fact is, if JR were to let Fox go and is worried about 2011 uncertainty, he's going to hire young again. Do you really think is he going to put all the chips out there and pay a $60 million deal to a coach that might be sitting around doing nothing in a year?

That reason right there could be why JR might promote from within.

Yeaha read around and saw the $10 and wanting control. Not a good idea. Cowhers making the rounds too. Seen where the Bills are talking to him too. He's trying to leverage himself. But back to the $10 mil. Holmegren was making $8 million his last season with the Seahawks. Dont care for coaches trying to wear two caps. If Cowher wants that much time to look somewhere else. Maybe Gruden will change his mind.

The more I think about it the madder I get. I would not mind if he stays or goes, BUT I don't like it on his terms. I would much rather see him FIRED if he is to leave. I can see it now. If Fox leaves on his own terms the Media will be "Why did Carolina let one of the best D minded coaches go?" If he is fired it would just feel better. Either way the media will kill Carolina for "letting" it happen. Screw the Media!!

Richardson's health is good right now.

I mean either you have something or you're attention whoring. So which is it?

He just had a heart transplant. He is getting up in age and it is known that he wants a Superbowl ring. Thats been his main goal since he got the franchise.

Can you imagine if we let him go and the panthers stumble.... It'll be unbearable.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
