Rules:

1. Trading

1a. Players and draft picks may be traded.

1b. Trades must be posted in the "Trade Discussion Thread" which will open on January 25th and remain open until March 7th. Both GMs involved in the trade must confirm the deal.

1c. All trades are subject to veto, which must be used within 48 hours of trade confirmation.

1d. Once trades are confirmed by both parties and there is not veto after 48 hours, the trade is final and cannot by changed or undone.

2. Draft

2a. Draft picks and players may be traded during the draft.

2b. Draft will start at a set time(Refer to timeline) that is subject to change.

3. Sign-Up

3a. After January 31st, you may not change your team.

3b. I will send all GMs a message on January 20th asking them to confirm that they are still interested. If you do not do so within one week, you will lose your team.

4. Rosters

4a. Our virtual rosters are set on January 9th. Any real life changes(released players, trades, free-agent signings, etc.) after this date are not counted in our virtual offseason.

4b. If a GM uses a roster that is updated from a date past January 9th and are caught, they will be warned. If they are caught again after being warned or do not make changes to their flawed roster, then they will be subjected to penalization(Removal of draft picks). The extent of the penalty will be my choice and increase in severity as the GM continues to ignore warning. If this continues, I reserve the right to remove any GM that does not comply with the rules.

4c. Any player that is on the roster as of Jan. 9 (Whether on the active roster or practice squad) may be submitted in the teams depth chart.

4d. Rosters must be submitted by January 9th in a "Depth Chart" thread that will be started in mid January.

4e. Pending 2010 free agents are assumed retained by their current team.

4f. 60 Players are allowed per team post-draft.

All rules are subject to change.

Please post any changes to dates or additions of rules that you feel would better the experience.

I have decided to withdraw as the Cincinnatti GM, I just don't have enough time to dedicate to it and will watch with interest instead. Hopefully there is someone else out there that is interested in a GM spot that didn't get a chance to sign up early on. Hope it's no big inconvenience to anyone.

Ill take Cincy, I've been in this every year we've done it. I had San Fran last year, did very well with them.

    • Of course, everyone has film. That is probably fresh in their mind though. Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
