Wasnt Ron Francis a pretty big hockey guy? The Hurricanes made the playoffs in Dundon’s first full year and every year since. It’s easier to be more hands off when you make the playoffs every year. That’s not the Panthers who had a flash of hope to end last year and are now worse than they were with Rhule at the helm.

Lol this supports my point, he came in and immediately got rid of the losers and dead weight. Canes had missed the playoffs 10 straight years before the sale, Dundon changes HC and GM, let’s them do their jobs and starts spending and now have been contenders every year. Exact opposite of Tepper who took a team coming off playoffs in 4 out of 5 years incl. a SB appearance and immediately turned them into the worst team in the league. Results speak for themselves

Well, to be fair, he didn’t really go to work for two years since he had to figure out which way the tree would fall before he started chopping. So not immediate.

But when you see a guy study his situation for two years and after all that decides to go the way he went, time to worry.
