I'm Curious, So let me dig up your grave......

You know...what drew my attention to this story, is the plain and simple fact that these people, want to dig up this mans grave for the sole purpose of easing someone's curiosity.

This sh!t is just stupid, and not only that, it shouldn't be allowed in my opinion....but what do I know? I don't go around petitioning to dig up peoples graves because I want to know if he was gay, or it was really him, his mother, his lover, in a picture he painted or not.

I guarantee you someone's art collection is going up in value as we speak, and probably will be the first one on site at the upheaval of this mans corpse.

Let sleeping dogs lay.

Yeah.....America isn't the only Country that doesn't respect boundaries anymore. Imagine the amount of money being dedicated to this, with the shape this world is in.

Nonsense...........pure nonsense.

Leonardo da Vinci's bones to be dug up by Italian scientists

Scientists seeking permission to exhume the remains of Leonardo da Vinci plan to reconstruct his face to discover whether his masterpiece, the Mona Lisa, is a disguised self-portrait.

A team from Italy’s National Committee for Cultural Heritage, a leading association of scientists and art historians, has asked to open the tomb in which the Renaissance painter and polymath is believed to lie at Amboise castle, in the Loire valley, where he died in 1519, aged 67.

Giorgio Gruppioni, an anthropologist, said the project could throw new light on Leonardo’s most famous work. “If we manage to find his skull, we could rebuild Leonardo’s face and compare it with the Mona Lisa,” he said.

The identity of the Mona Lisa has been debated for centuries, with speculation ranging from Leonardo’s mother to Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a Florentine merchant.

Some scholars have suggested that Leonardo’s presumed homosexuality and love of riddles led him to paint himself as a woman.

Recreating Leonardo’s face could test the theory of Lillian Schwartz, an American expert who drew on computer studies to highlight apparent similarities between the features of the Mona Lisa and those of a self-portrait by the artist.

Talks about the exhumation with French cultural officials and the owners of the chateau have resulted in an agreement in principle, according to the Italian team, and the project could receive formal permission this summer.

The church in which Leonardo was buried was destroyed after the French revolution of 1789. The remains were reburied in the castle’s smaller chapel of Saint-Hubert in 1874, beneath an inscription that describes them as “presumed” to be the master’s......

    • There are several posters that only post negative at all times.   8 wins is a big jump from 5 and we still have 2 games.  Jaguars have a much more talented roster than us and have underachieved for years.
    • All of this noise is just setting us up to lose Week 18 and proclaim life's not fair. If there's one thing I know in my 30+ years of watching the Hornets and Panthers, is that the bad guy always wins in the end. A team can be falling apart internally but we will still lose to them. A team's fanbase can be extra shitty and cocky and they will just win anyway. It always happens
    • Well even if we took diverging paths getting there...our overall assessment of Shough is the same (bolded) lol so I guess that's what matters.  What you call "playing at a level that looks like a veteran starter" is the same thing I'm referencing when I talk about his poise.  Although I still wonder how truly "bad" of a team the Saints are.  Their defense is middle-of-the-road, and their offense does have some good pieces (Olave, Juwan Johnson) outside of running back which is the position most everyone agrees is relatively plug-and-play.  I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the majority of NFL team's o-lines lol but I'm assuming Saints are not great there, although Shough's pressure % seems to have been quite low (and steadily improving) over the last four weeks (20 -> 16.7 -> 15.0 -> 13.0) so maybe they've been playing better as of late, or perhaps Shough himself deserves credit for that.   Some of the language I'm hearing about Shough, including talking about how he's way above league average in several categories, makes it sound like Shough is having a rookie season on par with like a CJ Stroud who established himself as basically a Top 5-10 QB his rookie season.  Maybe that's on me though, I don't mean to attribute anything to you that I'm sure you don't agree with.
