It's actually a good thing the Aints are in the SB...

Because we don't have to listen to guys gush over The Wrangler, and after the Saints get dismantled by the Colts, they will have the SB Loser hangover next year and won't even make the playoffs, leaving us as NFC South division champs next year. Lock it up. CHAMPIONSHIP!

Sounds very possible. I tend to agree with this potential assessment.

Uhh... not so sure about this. We still have a inconsistent front office and head coach hamstringing us.... and there is always Atlanta to contend with. Their front office usually makes good moves. :(

Id rather not be Divisional champions. I want to get in with the wildcard and fly under the radar. the top 2 seed thing doesn't work well for us.

I always want a home game, and in a perfect world I want two ;-) I love being at the stadium on gamedays and there is nothing better than being at a home play off game

If the Saints get the hangover, we are a lock in my eyes for the south next year. I know I'm an extreme optimist, but that's just my nature. Last year ATL and Ryan did as well as they did because Turner carried the rock 400+ times. And just like I said at the beginning of this season, he won't hold up long. Matty Ice throws a lot of picks and ATL is getting better, but not quite there yet. TB is a maybe 5 or 6 win team. We'll have a soft schedule and should put up at least 10 or 11 which will win the south. Maybe we'll be a 3 seed and get a home playoff game in the wildcard round, go on the road to beat a 1 seed in the divisional, then host the NFC Championship game.

Disclaimer: I'm biased because I live in Cali, so if there is any way at all possible for the Cats to play SF in SF for the playoffs, I'd be uber-pumped to go to my first live Carolina playoff game.

I wouldn't consider that last playoff game we had as anything remotely enjoyable. I was there, and it was very painful.

No, we're "big boys" now, it's time we start acting like it and accepting it. Screw this under the radar, cardiac cat, crap. If we can't think and act elite, we never will be.

    • Because playoff hockey and regular season hockey aren’t the same thing.  It’s a combination of the game intensity being dialed up with loose officiating.
    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix had only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
