Computer purchase help

I'd say build one. Its not as difficult as it seems. This lifehacker article does a pretty good job of explaining it:

http://lifehacker.com/5151369/the-first+timers-guide-to-building-a-computer-from-scratch

If that seems a little daunting, then I'd go with a system (Doesn't matter the brand) with a 2.0 ghz+ processor (multi-core is a must), at least 2 gigs of ram (4 reccomended), and a dedicated graphics card (at least 256 meg, avoid anything that is intergrated into the motherboard.)

Asus and Acer have both stepped up their game recently and I'd reccomend them.

Personally, for something prebuilt, I've never had a problem with Dell.

    • I can see Cooper being a target. Wouldn’t be bent out of shape but obviously not a preference if we’re talking position picked — but I’m just looking for impact. And man, this draft class is an odd bunch in our range. Has these really talented hybrid Slot/Safeties, McDonald (but I think I liked Tyleik more the other year), Faulk (huge work in progress), Saddiq (TE in R1?), and some interesting but wildly different profiling OTs. Our biggest needs: ILB, 3-4 DE, S/Slot (à la Branch), OT, WR, and TE The WRs here would be a notable impact add.  I personally don’t have a position I am pining for. I see Thieneman, Cooper, McDonald, and McNeil-Warren as my faves right now but it could change.  Iheanachor is a sleeper at OT over Proctor, Miller and others. A big eye-of-the-beholder year. It would take a major reach for me to be ticked with the pick bc there’s just too big a range of players, positions and types this draft. Unpopular: Honestly, I kind of love the idea of just trading up for Styles if he slips to 8/9. It’s not a year where capital is going to be lofty.
    • I have wanted to do that since I first looked at the draft order and the crop of players.  A lot of it is, just not that impressed with the selection we are likely to have at 19. And then when I learned how good some of these ILBs are I never bought that we could sit at 51 and get one. So trading back helps us have a chance to move up for one of those guys.
    • I would pass, dude is 30 and would require using a draft pick to get.  Maybe if we were in season and having a better year than expected and see the need for a CB, but right now no.
