2005 was mine even though it ended the way it did. I just remember us dominating in the playoff. For me i liked it cuz we had a passing game(aka throw to smith) anddominating secondary. I think we could of went 13-3 if we had a play or two in our favor and a WR to compliment smith.

2003, definitely.

But 2008 was the most I'd ever been invested in the Panthers (I always have been, but last year seemed to change fanhood into zealosness). In that respect, 2008 was an awesome experience, but the way in which it ended was too heartbreaking to put it above 2003.

Oh, and I also became a fan during the 2001 season.

Being a defensive guy- 1996 was the most exciting to me. We went undefeated at home and made the playoffs for the first time. During the regular season 2008 was great as well since we went undefeated at home and I was at every game.

Obviously the most exciting post season was 2003.

2005 was exciting because our defense was dominant and Smitty won the triple crown. It just ended 2 games too soon.

I agree with GMJ's father -1996. The 8 game winning streak before the Packers sent us home was insane. If Carolina was within two scores at halftime, you knew they were going to win. Nobody could move the ball against us in the second half that season. We gave up something like 13 points in the 4th quarter - for the whole season!

      Honestly, I dont  think he should be on the hot seat yet. A bad start to next year, then yes. Despite our mistakes on play calling this past season, we played better than anticipated overall. Bryce showed improvement and maturity (although still not nowhere close to our expectations). Better record and 2-15 to 5-12 to 8-9. Despite what we feel the stats dont lie we are improving by 3 wins a year. Could 11-6 be our expectation. That's a high bar but at the rate we are going, thats what its looking like. We all want to see a 5-12 to a 13-4 record but we are methodically moving up. Success doesnt happen overnight (well in most cases).  IMO we are struggling mostly on the defensive end. LB and edge are our biggest weakness. I see Bryce making improvements (even though I was a Bryce hater) next year. Biggest concern is LT on offense. How to fix this? We need a big name edge or to trade up and get a big name edge or LB and pick up one in FA and draft one. Also if in the 3rd we can pick up a TE. Dont know if Sanders is the answer or Tremble (even though I love Trembles blocking and power after the catch). If these two can get their footwork together they would be great. Maybe all they need is a better TE coach. And if Brooks can stay healthy and be the back we thought he could be, man that would be great
