As much as I hate to say it...

I was pulling for the Colts all week. But when the game started, I couldn't help but to switch sides. The Saints are just so likable. The city deserved something, it really did. Now don't get me wrong, I'm still a die hard Panthers fan. But today I'm a Saints fan. Drew Brees is such a class act. After seeing him crying and holding his son, I felt like he really deserved the title. Congrats Saints.

Teams deserve a win because they're better. Nothing else matters. It makes for a nice story to overcome hardship but anything outside of the football field is irrelevant. I wish I could just watch a football game without the media trying to make a fairytale out of everything. It cheapens the saints accomplishments and football in general.

I believe teams and fans deserve wins by showing heart. Drew Brees shows his class and desire every time he steps on the field. All of those guys out there were playing with full hearts. Now whether they were playing with that much heart because of the hurricane 5 years ago, I don't know. But I do know they deserved it. They outplayed the Colts and showed class and heart in doing so.

Am I really the only one who thinks Brees is a class act and that the Aints deserved to be the Saints for one night and one night only?? They deserved it tonight.

I don't really care if he's classy or a jerk, the better team wins. I like seeing the happy team at the end of the year, but they don't deserve to win because of things outside of the field.

I have a completely different opinion. Teams play better because of what happens off the field. Look at Brett Favre for instance. His dad dies. The next day he scorches the Raiders with 399 yards and 4 TDs. Did he play one of his best games ever because he was a great player on this particular day? No. He played incredibly well because he had something to play for. He was playing for his dad.

A similar story happened with the Saints tonight. Disaster struck New Orleans 5 years ago, and that may not even be a big deal anymore. But these guys were all playing to bring their team their first ever championship. They were bringing their city something to be happy for. They were playing for something bigger, and therefore they played with more heart than the Colts.

Am I saying they won because of a hurricane 5 years ago?? No. But I honestly do think the motivation involved had the Saints feeling like they had something to play for.

Of the 3 other teams in the division, I have never actually hated the Saints as much as the other two. I don't know why, they just seem so much more respectable. Or maybe all this time it was just pity because they only won 2 playoff games ever before this season. But either way, I respected them tonight.

But since it's now a new day, I am officially an Aint hater once again.

Now you've changed subjects, I didn't say that what happens off the field is irrelevant to how they play the game. I said it's irrelevant on who deserves to win. The saints don't deserve the win more tha the colts. Since the outplayed the colts they get the win and 100% of the credit. It's completly unfair to both teams to try and say the deserve the win for anything else but the play on the field. Bret favre didn't deserve to win the game after his dad died either. What I feel your saying is that the saints deserve to win more than the colts because they faced more adversity. Would you have made this topic about the colts if they won? I don't think you would.

Their won't be one country feeling like Hati desevers too when the World Cup in soccer. So why do they deserver this again? Will this win build one house in the 9th ward. You know what my house got destroyed during Hugo. So the panther deserved too win in superbowl 38 and the Hornets should have one a ring too.
