Ticket Buying Strategies?

I'm so excited about our play off game. I will be one of the thousands trying to buy tickets tomorrow morning at 10am. This will be the first time i've bought tickets from ticket master, and i was wondering what strategy would give me the best chance of getting them.

Should i call a few minutes before 10, at 10, or just try to get them online?

Go to ticketmaster.com and set up an account. By entering your info, your can navigate the site more quickly. Be online at 9:50 and be ready to go at 10:00. Hit "best available" in your price range. If any come up, buy them immediately.

How quickly will the tickets be delivered (roughly) if we win? I need to know whether it would be safe to put my home address (outside of NC) or address in NC...

Anyone have any idea how long it has taken the tickets to arrive, in the past?

If your address is outside of NC or SC, your order will be canceled so you'd better use the NC address...and your credit card billing address had better be in SC or NC as well.

Use your NC address and do the eTicket option so that you can print them out immediately.

I don't know how common it is, but the Panthers limit ticket buying to NC and SC residents every time they initially put tickets up for sale. Even if the transaction initially goes through, your tickets can be canceled. It's happened to many others before who have tried to circumvent it.

Single-Game Tickets

Tickets to the Carolina Panthers NFC Divisional Playoff game will go on sale Thursday, January 1 at 10 a.m. throughout the Carolinas. The game will be played on Saturday, January 10 at 8:15 p.m.

Approximately 7,000 tickets will be available simultaneously through Ticketmaster's computerized ticket selling system. Ticket prices range from $62 to $137 plus applicable service charges, and fans may purchase up to four (4) tickets. A limited number of club seats will also be available, ranging from $200 to $400 plus applicable service charges.

Tickets can be purchased one of three ways: Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone and Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, each of which allows equal access to available tickets through the Ticketmaster computerized ticketing network.

The Carolina Panthers Ticket Office at Bank of America Stadium will not be open for ticket purchases during the public sale.

That's the way it is phrased on the Panthers site. However, IIRC, in regular the season sales, I think it is emphasized that you must have a shipping and billing address in NC or SC.

Why not send a question to one of the Observer or Herald writers to ask. Even to WCNC. There has been no emphasis on the states this go-round.

Ok, I think I've got it figured out. I just want to make sure I understand -- if I choose e-ticket, that gets sent to me immediately, and there's no need to wait for a hard copy? The e-ticket I get can be used at the game?

That is correct. If it isn't immediate, they'll email you a link in a day or so to say they are ready, but due to the quick timing, I'd say immediate.
