how much did we offer Peppers

Recommended Posts

I keep being told by "self proclaimed" experts that we did not even make Peppers an offer this offseason. Has anyone heard this?

It's my impression that we didn't make Peppers an offer this offseason and the only time we contacted his agent was to inform him that we wouldn't be using the tag.

I think the Panthers felt they made a very competitive and generous offer to Peppers last offseason and when he turned it down, I think the Panthers decided they would move on after this year.

Will be interesting to see what happens if Peppers tests the market and then comes back and tells the Panthers he'll take the offer from last summer...

If he does, and I were the Panthers, I'd offer a little less since he is one year older and because of the way he did them.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
