Starters:

DE

WR

Depth:

OG/Center combo

OT

QB

OLB

It Depends:

CB (if Marshall is lost in free agency)

Nose Tackle (if Kemo is cut)

Kicker (if Lloyd is not brought back because Kasay can't kick it in the end zone)

Safety (if Teal is lost in free agency)

We need a legitimate # 2 WR...successful teams these days have at least 1 great (which we have), 1 very very good (not moose), and usually another very reliable WR. I am all for bringing in Holt and making a trade for Boldin.

DE...please bring in Kampman!

We also need some depth at Safety and CB.

Obviously, we need a QB. I still say we will sign Kyle Boller (as a back up).

And lastly, we need a freakin kicker. Cut Lloyd and Kasay.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
