Interested to know who he was evaluating... there are 3 possible prospects.

Jacoby Ford has blazing straigh line speed shown by hsi 4.28 40-time at the comine, but his agility is worse than some Dlinemen.. his 3-cone was over 7 seconds.. which is one of the worst for a WR at the combine. So I know some scouts are hesitant with Ford.

Ricky Sapp as a non-stop motor, and would be a good fit in our tampa 2 scheme. However, Conner might be the most logical choice.. said to be very fast but his weakness is his man-to-man coverage, so a zone scheme like ours would be the most logical fit for him.

Ricky Sapp - DE - Projected high 2nd rounder

Jacoby Ford - WR/KR - Projected 3rd rounder

Kavell Conner - OLB - Projected 6th rounder

CJ Spiller - HB - Top 15 pick

      This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.

      None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.

      I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
