65 dollar roster update here i come!

this is what i was going to post.

i really have no clue how people can justify buying madden (or any other sports game) every year. and its sad that no madden has come close to the quality of NFL2K5...

It looks exactly the same as last year, which I would be fine with as long as they can fix all the the other poo that was wrong with it.

Why the hell isn't there restricted free agency? They had that in ps2 and xbox versions, but too tough in next gen?

And the d-line/o-line interaction still sucks and there is no point in playing a 3-4 because lineman don't command double teams.

i hope they fix the WR screen. whenever i try and throw it to smitty, the AI on the receiver tards out and he runs in circles and gets tackled for a 5 yard loss

On Madden 10? I found that the WR screen to Smitty was the cheeser play in '10.

He ALWAYS does this--it drives me bananas especially when my opponent is playing a D where I know if smitty went straight up the field, he'd get 20+ yards.

What Madden Needs:

Tattoos

More animated teammates on the sideline

Ability to trade future year picks, not just current year draft picks

Restricted free agents

Better negotiating when signing players (Players won't take a penny less then what they want, even if they've been a FA for two years!

Better stats. Every year, 4 guys eclipse 2,000 yards rushing

Less forced replays

Better ground and sideline collision detection. I've had plays overturned by replays where the guy caught it 5 yards OOB.

Use Tampa Bay's playbook and try some of their WR screens. As soon as I can get my hands on the game again, I'll show you the cheeser play that almost always results in 20+ yards.

Because I want to play with current players and better animations, models and textures. They generally try to improve the game a little with each game.

$60 a year... comon, even I can come up with that and I'm poor.

Improvements that need to be made(some of these have been mentioned):

1) Trading future draft picks

2) Put back in the ability to train player stats such as accuracy/speed/throw power!!! It sucks when your starting QB has a 'B' potential(ie: Matt Moore) so every season he only goes up a few points, even if he has a pro bowl/MVP season

3) Fix the exploit where someone is in 4-3 defense, shifts the d-line, and takes one of their DE's or LB's to the furthest side where he is virtually unblocked(even if you have a TE lined up there, it basically forces you to run a quick out or toss, which is annoying)

4) Fix the amount of fluke interrupted passes that get grabbed by 380lb DT's who in turn outrun the RB's/FB's/EVERYONE back for a TD

5) Tone down some of the RB's. AP/Chris Johnson/Turner/etc should not be eclipsing 2k yards every season.

Doesn't EA Sports have the rights to the NFL, in terms of making games, until like 2012 or something? I think it is stupid considering NFL 2k5 can still beat out the latest versions of Madden in many aspects.

Yep. Thats technically illegal under Tiltle 15 section 3 of the US Code which forbids exclusive dealings which lessen competition. In that particular market they did more then lessen it they just done away with it. That in this countries most popular professional sport.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
