DraftTek

I dunno if you guys do this, or even knew about it... but...

If you go to http://drafttek.com/new%20simulator/, you can change variables to your beliefs for teams' needs, project trades (put teams in place of other teams for each draft pick number), and run the draft in simulation...

It is a fun time waster this time of year, and if you tweak it enough, it can be pretty accurate...

I put my projected trade with Kansas City in and bump our needs for OLB and WR up... I also have us trading down in the 2nd with Seattle and picking up an extra 4th and 6th (they take Jahvid Best at 48)...

2(36). Golden Tate, WR Notre Dame

2(60). Tyson Alualu, DT California

3(78). Thad Gibson, OLB Ohio St.

4(104). Tony Pike, QB, Cincinnati

4(112). Jermaine Cunningham, DE Florida

5(136). Brandon Carter, G Texas Tech

6(175). Antonio Brown, WR Central Michigan

6(176). Walter Thurmond, CB Oregon

6(202). Leigh Tiffin, K Alabama

6(204). Terrell Skinner, SS Maryland

7(223). Cameron Sheffield, LB Troy

7(249). David Reed, WR Utah

Not bad at all... if it could only play out that way...

    • He threw for 199 and 198 against Miami and the Cowboys so he didn't get them into that situation in those games. More importantly, Miami, the Cowboys and the Packers threw for 261, 256 and 273 yards respectivly - all more than Young. And yet they all lost. High passing yardage does not equate to wins.
    • Fair point, honestly didn't even realize he was listed as questionable as well, could still be for both of them in case either isn't able to go tomorrow. That Canales said something like "we'll check him out tomorrow to make sure he's able to go" still makes me think they were still expecting him to play, as that would be a weird way to phrase it if they felt he was more likely to not be playing. Still just hoping it would be like when a player feels something in a game, gets checked out, but goes back in.  And since it was just practice, once he felt anything, they just shut him down for the day to be safe.
    • The Golden Calf of Bristol was Mr Clutch time.  It’s the Skip Bayless argument.  Someone how being trash all game doesn’t matter….if you can cherry pick one random play late
