Is there a WR in the 2nd that is better than Brandon Marshall?

It would take our O to a new level methinks. Too many weapons for a D to cover someone is bound to be killing them. It would allow Smith to move into the slot and become the "#2" receiver like he wants. I think it would be him that would benefit from this the most. I think Smith would make Welker look like his b*tch.

Our O would be pretty good, but I don't see our D being able to stop some of the other badass O's in the league.

Houston

Minny

NO

Indy

GB

San Diego ect.....

And they have the picks and the desire to all get better on D, while we have to use our picks and money to sign someone on O just to catch up with them.

And who is to say that Moore is going to produce nearly as much as those QB's?

Would it help next year? Probably...but then would we have the cash to sign Moore if he plays well...what about Beason and Davis and Marshall?

We can't have two of the top 7 paid WR's in the league and still keep Stew and D Will, pay Gross what we did, and extend Moore.....

What makes you think he'll be a good guy? He's going to a run first offence, were the first option is Smith, dealing with another attidue guy in Smith. And has a promising but still very much up in the air qb with Moore.

There very well could be games were he doesnt get a catch at all.

True but when you think about our passing O it has always been Smith and Moose numero uno. Its not that hard to be a 1000 yard reciever (most WR would be happy with that) even #2 on a run 1st team. Think about it you would have to get 65 yards a game to eclipse that mark and thats not exactly a high per game average. Someone has the record for most receptions in a game will have no problem getting the ball.

And like I said I think he will be #1 and Smith will move to the slot and be a killer YAC weapon.

That is true but considering how the NFL is heading I would rather be stacked at WR then RB and WLB (Davis no way do we let Beason walk). I keep telling you guys RB's are the easiest positions to find talent late in the draft. We suck at evaluating WR's.

And besides I don't think Smith would be on the team for too long if Marshall keeps his nose clean. Smith isn't going to stay fast forever and that is why he is so dangerous. I already saw a lot of uncharacteristic drops by him last year. Might have been Jake however.

BTW I already mention how to improve the D in this situation. Once WR is locked up the draft would be realtivily easy to pick BPA on D.

Damn team chemistry, I WANT INSTANT RESULTS NAOW!!!11!1!!

your right, i would much rather enter training camp with question marks at most every postition on the D-line, linebacker, WR, FB, etc...

We need to solidify some positions before the draft. lets face it, we dont have many picks this year, and only a few quality picks at that. we are not going to fill all the holes on this roster successfully without brining in a few guys. bringing in tons of cast aways and busts isnt the answer at WR. we need some serious young talent that can eventually replace smitty. not saying marshall is the answer, but something needs to be done.

he has question marks, but nothing that couldnt be handled by a strong coaching staff.

And its not like you couldn't say that about most of the guys in the 2nd. Cody and Price out of shape. D. Thomas crappy route running and wierd offense. Marty Gilyard thin frame and slow speed. Jacoby Ford fast but wasn't asked to run crisp routes in college. Every WR availiable in the 2nd will have concerns. Maybe not character concerns but all have ? marks.

A strong coaching staff isn't going to stop someone from beating their wife.

Maybe she shouldn't have been backtalking him.

No in all seriousness that is crappy thing to do, unless she deserved it.

JK hearing that kind of thing sucks.

There's a slight difference between "doesn't run routes properly" and "beats the poo out of his wife" on the scale of coachability.

Unless you think John Fox is going to pull a Harry Morgan and teach Brandon Marshall how to beat his poor wife without getting caught. "What you have to first Brandon is cover her room in clear, plastic tarps, that way there's no blood to tie the beating back to you."

No he needs to be coached by Tom Cable. He can punch interns and coworkers and keep his job (and play piss poor football).

umm not a bad idea with the plastic. lol
