Official Atlanta Braves Thread

2....I like Hudson, heck of a pitcher. Went out to the bar to watch with a group of friends. Had Phils on one TV and Braves on the TV next to it. Good times.

We all bought our tickets for the final series at Turner Field for the Phils vs. Braves. I hope it means as much as I think it will

Mark my words...Wags will let you down in the 2nd half. He did it with the Phils, he did it with the Mets, he will do it with the Braves.

Here's to an exciting run to the NL East title. :cheers2:

I turned off the game mad, because I thought the Braves were going to lose another one that they basically had, but later on I turn on to the Braves post game wrap up to see that Brooks won another one for us with a late inning homerun.

Great win, and its also a plus that the phils lost

*cough*...Braves pulled it out but the old Wags is starting to come through. Not sure how he blew the save with today but guys are sitting on that fast ball that has no movement and if they guess right, look out.

(Still better than Lidge though)

I'm not gonna say he is a let down until these blown saves become routine for him. I will say I was disappointed. Thank God for McCann there are in the 10th with the security. Not to mention everybody who had a bat in their hands that inning. Great way to battle back (even though they should have never HAD to battle back...).

I am not saying he is a let down because Wags is not a terrible closer by any means. All I am saying is that if history repeats itself (which it likes to do), Wags will let you down in some big games down the stretch in the 2nd half.

Yep, the Braves just lost one of their hotest hitters for the rest of the year. This is going to be a terrible way to go out if he decided this is his last year.

With Prado already out, and Jason having knee pain, and not to mention Glaus. The injuries are mounting up quick.

    • I respect his enthusiasm. Time will tell if it's warrented.
    • Oh I went off and fully entertained my wife last night as my emails go to her phone as well because of my health. So she got the whole conversation as it happened.    Like I went to games in Detroit for the cup finals, I've been to games in Greensboro, Raleigh, and Chicago as well. My mom and her nurse friend double dated one of the players from when the team was in Greensboro. "He's still with the team in some compacity as well." I know people who work for the team at the arena as well. How the hell would I not be considered a fan. Only reason I haven't gone to a game since 2022 is because of my health and money situation. Last game I went to was at United Center in Chicago and me and my wife spent around 1k for glass seats and some food at the arena and we were next to the penalty box. The pictures of the hurricane players I took are lost because my phone crapped out a few weeks later.
    • The Falcons win was a fantastic way to end the season and I think just about every Panthers fan would agree the team the coaching staff and particularly Bryce Young were impressive. We really needed that. Credit where it's due. At the same time. Now we have to establish it wasn't just a flash in the pan. We had one of those earlier in the season against the Raiders. As a tortured Panthers fan I have to acknowledge that. I know you're joking but in all seriousness I don't think the QB sneak is something for us to be concerned about in general but I would be lying to myself if I did not acknowledge that looking back at one particular game last season where we continually trotted out Eddie Pinero on 4th and short on the opponents side of the field we could use some creativity in those situations and it's also a matter of predictability. As time goes on it's something for Canales to work on and figure out. Especially with our kicker situation as it stands.
