All Division Series: NFC South

Haha its been a long day and I was trying to get that done because I was in a hurry to do something else. And take these with a grain of salt. While I would say I know quite a bit about the NFL, you all know Panthers football more than I do. I really hadn't heard much on Thomas Davis until you all mentioned he should be the starter on this team. For consistency purposes I am going to leave him out of the starting lineup but put him at Honorable Mention.

To provoke some thought, how do you all think you will manage next season in the NFC South? I think the Panthers will be fighting for a Wildcard spot as well as fighting for second in the division with Atlanta.

You really don't follow the Panthers very well then. He was an absolute monster even outperforming Beason till he shredded his leg against the Saints. To not have Davis as one of the OLB's on your list is absurd. I would be willing to bet even our rival NFC South fans would give Davis his due as one of the top LB's in the conference.

He said the Panthers were one of his favorite teams....

I wasn't saying he was credible, just noting that you should've picked up on the "he doesn't follow the Panthers" sooner. :P

It's completely possible he just likes the team and doesn't follow them, though. Not so much with football, but in basketball for example, I like several teams, but I mainly follow the Cavaliers and the Bobcats.

Just a few comments on an otherwise-solid article:

  • Hoover is gone, I would choose Mughelli out of Atlanta in his place.
  • Kalil didn't start until his second year.
  • Thomas Davis is far better than Mike Peterson.
  • Darren Sharper is a free agent, and even if he was a Saint I might consider Tanard Jackson, the guy who's just as good, still improving, and not in the twilight of his career.
  • Kasay is plenty accurate, but struggles with distance as he gets older. That's why we brought in a kickoff specialist. You have that backwards.
