James, who sat out Cleveland’s final four regular-season games to rest for the playoffs, was on the floor more than three hours before tip getting in some extra work. He’s waited almost one year to spit out the bitterness of coming up short last year and isn’t taking any chances.

Before the game, he conveyed that to his teammates.

“I told them, this is what have all waited for,” he said. “This is why we play hard throughout the regular season and throughout practices—to get to this point. As much as we loved the regular season, we love the postseason even more.”

Noah’s comments about Cleveland have further angered Cavaliers fans, who have grown to dislike him. In a game earlier this season, Noah took exception to LeBron James dancing on the floor and had a heated exchange with the league’s reigning MVP.

James dismissed Noah’s harsh comments about Cleveland.

“Noah is one of those guys who likes attention,” James said about 90 minutes before tip-off. “I would never, for the most part, say anything like that. But that’s just me and our team. It doesn’t take our concentration away from what’s at hand and that’s that team over there. We’re not going to worry about what city we’re in. We’re playing against the Bulls and we have a game plan.

“I don’t get too far into what he says. It means absolutely nothing to this series.”

    • Very fair point.  I guess when Bryce get's to play spreadout, that works for him, but Canales won't do that because it's not going to hold up for a 17 game season.   To me, this has always been a make or break year for Bryce.  Year 3, you need to know what you have.  We just don't have a full time, starting NFL QB.  I will hedge that on the fact that he's only 24 years old.  It's a small hedge, maybe just a shrubbery at this point since Bryce has had three full training camps as QB1. I guess I'm struggling with the balance between patience and performance.  My desire is to be patient since he's 24, but he's also had plenty of time to improve.  I just don't want to use send him off for peanuts and watch him reach his potential elsewhere.
    • He’s washed, I would rather play Tremayne and Coker who can also block in the run game
    • Sadly I was right about the blowout loss to the Bills but it was worse than I expected especially on defense.    Packers opened as 11.5 favorites and it’s hard not to expect them to cover. I think the defense will play better but will still get demolished by Jordan Love who is playing at a high level after that performance against the Steelers. This is the type of game we have to actually play keep-away by running the ball but not sure if our offensive line with injuries can do that or keep Bryce from getting pressured to consistently move the football on third downs.     I expect us to keep it close in the first half but Packers pull away in the second and easily cover.
