Deshaun Watson re-injures Achilles--impacts 2025 draft

The Browns pick second, and they were prepared to renegotiate Watson's deal and go with him--until Thursday's second surgery--he could be done (my opinion).

Regardless, the Browns have to take a QB--Ward or Sanders.  Wonder how Coach Prime feels about baby Prime playing in Cleveland?

If Allar doesn't declare then I see the Browns trading the pick to the Raiders for a haul of assets. The Raiders want Sanders bad and they're gonna do everything they can to try and jump ahead of the Giants so they can take him.

I think the Browns will go the vet QB route in reuniting kevin stefanski with kirk cousins and hope that they can win enough games over the next 2 years till they can reasonably get out of the Watson contract.

I have not kept up with who wants whom, and that might be the best move for the Browns in the long term. Stefanski has one year, I would assume, so breaking in a rookie might not be in his best interest.  My first thought was Cousins--who the Falcons will want to deal--  I could see the Browns taking a second-tier QB from this draft--Ewers maybe, or Howard.

I don't assume Allar will declare after that game he had vs. ND.  He probably needs a year anyway.

    • I don't do locks lol. I just bet +1000 and up and can hit at a decent rate. Combine ml winners and team shots on target. Do better in champions league than anything else
    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
