Some more NFC South stats I dug up.

are you some type of anti-Panther NAZI?

No I just have the ability to put the rah rah glasses down and call it like it is. The saints and falcons have finished in the bottom twice, the bucs three times and the panthers once. We've all been equally inconsistent. The only difference is the bucs and saints have the hardware.

I think pantherbob is a falcons fan trolling r site, cuz this guy is an idiot

Or you're just an insecure wuss that can't handle facts very well. I love the panthers but they're not the best team in the division until they win a championship.

Ok, let's take the "kiss the ring" angle.

Tampa won the only decisive victory in the big game. Impressive, but that was with players gathered by a coach that never was part of the South, led by a coach that absolutely destroyed that franchise, so much so that Tampa finished in the bottom 5 three times since.

NO was a laughing stock till the year after Katrina. Even then, change 3 unusual plays (Our clutch kicker making a rare fatal error, a high risk onside kick going right, and a seemingly boneheaded gamble by a slightly better than average CB going for six the other way), and we're having the exact other conversation. Not taking away from NO's win, but it's a paper thin difference in fate that resulted in them having rings and us not.

Take that with the fact that the Bucs and Saints would have to sweep us 3 years in a row to even the series and I don't exactly see a convincing front runner.

If we had never had a (very close) SB apperence or even only one Division apperence, I'd be the first to throw in the towel. As it stands it's pretty damn even.

we have averaged out to be the best team in the division, minus the trophy, that is what this thread is about, not who won a damn superbowl, poo, had we not had a kickoff go out of bounds we might have a trophy too but we dont. Not just because i am a panthers fan, but there is no way we are worse then the falcons or bucs, we are a better team then the saints, this year will prove it now that we got rid of that cancer named delhomme giving r games away

The op said that because the panthers average a half a win more this proves we are the best team in the south. If he simply said the panthers have a slightly better winning percentage than everyone else he would be correct. But that doesn't make them the best team. You can't dismiss championships just so it goes in the panthers favor. It doesn't work that way.

Well if you put it that way the falcons have pretty much owned the panthers so should we put them ahead of us?

They truly owned us in 2002 (rebuilding year) Shut out the Panthers twice that year. Swept the Panthers 2004, but the next year..Panthers blew them away. Since 2005, the 2 game series have been split. They do have the record edge over the Panthers.
