Will you miss Peppers or Delhomme more?

I stuck by Jake long after my friends gave up on him...but after watching many games during this (oh so long) off season I cant help but to look at almost every one of Jakes passes just him throwing it up...Smith made Jake.

Peppers - Im gonna miss him the most. Being a Peppers fan hasnt been easy last couple of years. Hard to like a guy who 'doesnt want to be a Panther'.

I really hope Peppers will be back in a few years to close out his career.

Jake and it's not even close.

Jake would have played for free if it meant he could stay here for another chance.

Peppers turned down the biggest defensive end contract in the league to leave, and has badmouthed the Panthers since leaving. Would I want him back on the team? Hell yes because he's one of the best, but this thread is about who I'd miss more so it's obviously Jake.

Peppers was the better player, but as a person can't be mentioned in the same sentence as Jake.

Funny, Peppers puts up All-Pro numbers every year (except one) while Jake's last name has been used as the epitome of failue, yet you're going to miss Jake more? It's amazing how sensitive our fanbase is when a player expresses wanting to play somewhere else.

Jake has done more for the franchise than Peppers.(both on AND off the field.)

Peppers is obviously the better player now, but fact is this wasn't about "who you want back on the team more" it's about "who are you going to miss more."

Jake. And it has nothing to do with Peppers wanting to play somewhere else. It has to do with character. But that is something that has been lost in America...very few people really have it or recognize it when they see it.

Yeah like lose game after game for this organization.

This shouldnt even be a debate. Peppers all the way! I care more about production than I do character. Jake single handedly destroyed this team last year while Peppers still played at a pro bowl level.

Thanks for making my point.

Yeah like bring the team to multiple playoff victories and it's first Super Bowl appearance and playing lights out in it, only to be let down by the defense.

See what I did there?

Yes Jake did alot of good things from 2003 - 2005. After that he became a liability. You can go back to 2006 when he threw 4 game ending INTs at the end of the game which cost us a shot at the playoffs or him throwing more INTs than TDs in 2008 (including the playoffs) and in 2009. The fact is he was causing more harm than good.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
