this being saints country im afraid most bars will only show there games...hopefully i can find a place that will show the panthers for me.

Any bar that makes a claim at being a "sports bar" will show more games than one. Especially division rival's games.

I'm stationed in the Coast Guard outside of New Orleans, so unfortunately I'm in the same boat. However, I pony up the dough to get NFL Sunday Ticket through DirecTV. It's expensive, but necessary. I factor it in to my cost of living expense. I can't live without watching my Panthers.

The TV.

DirectTV probably has some kind of package.

My daughter's husband is stationed in Alabama. He was thinking about getting Sunday Ticket last year, until I pointed out the price. He can spend 20 bucks at Buffalo Wild Wings every week and still come out cheaper.

That's true. But usually the bars around here may have it on a small TV in a corner somewhere without audio. I can't deal with smoke, crowds, stupid fans of the local team, and I can buy a case of beer and cook my own food from the comfort of my home.

Sometimes you can talk DirecTV down on the price. Depends on who you talk to.

really? $20 x 17 weeks is $340

nfl sunday ticket is $315 AND you get every game, every team, in the comfort of your living room, without bar noise or watching a game with the volume turned down while the saints game is on.

i couldn't imagine NOT having sunday ticket.

So during our bye week, who do we play? Because we still have a 16 game schedule.

NFL sunday ticket is in the top three of man's greatest creations. Behind chipotle and brazzers...

    • In a perfect world he’d play out his contract and if he looks great you can tag or extend him. But I wouldn’t offer more than a third. And I wouldn’t extend up front
    • I have already seen him mocked to 7.
    • I am not endorsing or rejecting.. just commenting. NYG GM Schoen and Morgan are like, vacation buds. Did the Burns trade already.  If we had interest it should be do-able. One year rental? Could be cheap. But it would need to be. Maybe a player could go back to them. More than that? Like trade for and extend him? I don’t know enough about him to really say about that. What LG just said sheds some light.    In a general sense, we have done well with our late rounders but the reason for that may apply less going forward. Tillis referenced this as well in his combine interview the other day. When you have holes everywhere it is easy to fill them with a draft pick, but once you have gotten things to a certain level that changes. At that point maybe a late round pick doesn’t upgrade your team like it did n previous seasons.  Hence the low picks become less impactful for us, there is less utility. Which could play into them being more willing to use them in a trade.
