To have teams call to check in on the availability of a 2008 3rd round pick with only two years remaining on his contract who has never started and is only one season removed from an ACL tear shows a lot about what other teams think of Connor.

I don't think Anderson can play the strong side. Can he play the weak side? Yep, you bet you, but so can anyone else in Meeks' defense.

And just to throw my two cents in, I think Anderson and Connor should split time at SLB... Anderson for obvious passing downs, and Connor for 1st downs automatically. Either way, I think they'll both end up with an even amount of snaps, maybe Anderson a little more because a lot of teams have started to pass it more than run it. And I thought Anderson held his own in that Giants game at the end of the year... in which I'm pretty sure he played both SLB and WLB, but I could be wrong...

3 half eaten tortadas from Taco Bell. We won't ever know. There may have never even been formal trade offers, just simply calls placed on whether that player was available.

As far as I know, this is the only news story of the Panthers having a player inquired into for this entire offseason.

I think we could've landed a couple of late rounders... or a solid 3rd rounder. But the fact remains, we didn't trade him, so it doesn't really matter. And if we would've traded him, Fox would've found a way to get a solid backup to replace him... But... considering there probably wasn't a backup he thought was better than Connor, he'll end up staying in Carolina.

Sure. Would he be the best player on the team at the WLB (outside of TD)? Probably not. He isn't as fast as Williams or Anderson so those players would probably be better options at the WLB position which requires speed in Meeks' defense.

I doubt the Panthers were offered a 3rd for him either. The value in young players is in their cheap contracts. Connor is halfway through his so that reduces his trade value along with the knee injury he suffered two years ago.
