ok no problem...i used to download from those stupid limewire and frostwire and all that crap...i did get a couple of viruses too...am i going to have that same problem doing it this way?

The torrents themselves are usually clean, but I wouldn't rule it out... the torrent sites are BAD.

Depends where you go. Everyone here probably jacks off to how awesome btjunkie and other sites are, but any public tracker carries the risk of having torrents with virus/spyware embedded in the files being uploaded.

You really need to find some private sites. The problem is most of them are hard as fug to get invites to. I spent years getting the e-rep to get invites to whatcd and torrentleech. Whatcd being the best private tracker for music, and torrentleech being the best private tracker in general. Demonoid is okay, they still get hit with malware uploads from time to time, but it's not as bad as, say, thepiratebay. If you want invites, PM me. First come, first serve.

Also don't use anything other than utorrent for downloading. Vuze is okay too.

Well, most torrents have reviews and ratings on the site where I go. some, people will vote fake or low quality..but most I ever used are clean.

btjunkie is great for music.

the bad stuff is why i've never looked into downloading them. i already lost one computer because of downloading music and movies from limewire back in college.
