i never said they weren't a part of our sucess. however, you cannot argue that brees is the #1 reason we won 13 games and a SB. just like you cannot argue that the pats defense from 01-04 was the reason they had as much sucess as he did. until the 2007 season Brady never posted elite stats or was known as a dominant QB. he was simply a good qb that was spotless in crunch time and in the postseason.

You said championship over stats, and said you'd take someone with 3 championships over someone with 1 so I figured it was fair to ask if you apply that same logic, would you take a guy with 2 over a guy with 1. :cheers2:

never any hard feelings on here. but what i was trying to get across is you cant go on just one. if you take out the stats theres so much more to go on than just stats. that alone puts Brady higher

I didn't mention Eli or the Giants. I brought up the Patriots losing to Ravens/Flacco because you brought up Brees losing to the Bears. Both sentiments were out of left field.

Brady hasn't been the same since his injury. While he was on IR in '08, Brees threw for over 5k+ yards, only the 2nd qb to achieve that. In '09, while Brady was struggling to lead his team to wins and recapture what they had in '07, Brees had a season where he was the most accurate qb in nfl history.

Until Brady proves that he can get back to the level he was at before the injury, he doesn't belong in a conversation with Brees and Peyton, imo. Unless the subject is "Who has had the better overall career?"
