TO might have found a home. not because we want or need him, but with the question mark of smith's recovery, they will need to sign him before someone else does just in case. other teams will know this and if they had any interest in TO, they too will act fast assuming we will act fast. this could start a bidding war which gives TO his big payday and lands him somewhere soon. this week perhaps. don't know if it will be here, but it could cause someone to make a snap reaction and make him an offer.

There is no question mark about his recovery, he'll be back by the start of the season. And I really don't think there's a chance for a bidding war in the middle of the summer. If anybody wanted him that badly, they would have signed him already.

So, either smith got owned by an 8 year old, or got owned by an "adult flag football" player?

Both are kinda funny in a wtf kinda way.

From what I understand, he went after a high pass and hurt his arm trying to break his fall, so he got "owned" by gravity, if anything.

Like I said, this sort of thing could have happened to any Panther that participated in the Jordan Gross kick ball tournament.

Smith

LaFell

Edwards

Jarrett

Wright

There probably isn't any room even for Kenny Moore, a guy the Panthers actually like. Where would room for T.O. come from?

Yeah, some people don't seem to understand that it would be counterproductive to cut a young promising player just so they can have an aging T.O for probably one year. Even as much as a disappointment as DJ has been, the guy is still only 23, which is younger than a lot of rookies, so there is still a chance that he could be a productive player for years to come.

Besides, there is no reason to believe that Smitty won't be ready for the season.

Was that not for charity, though?? If he was working with kids, that's one thing. If he's trying to win a local flag football tourney, that's another.

Kick ball for charity----flag football for fun...either way, the arm is just as broken.

Smitty will be fine when it counts, and that's all that matters.
