Oh Snap! D-Wade to the Bulls???

CHICAGO -- Dwyane Wade is leaning toward committing to the Chicago Bulls, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Chad Ford on Friday.

According to the source, Wade requested a second meeting with Bulls shortly after the 2006 NBA Finals MVP spent more than two hours getting wooed by the New York Knicks at a downtown Chicago hotel Friday morning. The source stressed that Wade needed the meeting to clarify issues around signing with the Bulls.

If Wade were to agree to join the Bulls, it could clear the way for fellow free-agent superstars Chris Bosh or LeBron James to join Wade in Chicago.

Wade had dinner with Bosh in Chicago on Thursday night and according to the source, one topic of discussion was the advantages of playing with the Bulls versus the Heat.

The source said Wade is unclear how the Heat, who currently have just two players under contract, will be able to build a championship contender around him given salary cap constraints. While the Heat have the money to bring in one more max player (and possibly a second if they do a sign-and-trade), the team will have to fill the rest of the roster with minimum salary players. The Bulls on the other hand, already have several key players including Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in place. If the Bulls can work out a deal to ship Luol Deng's contract out of town, they would have the funds to add James or Bosh to the puzzle too.

The Bulls have already met with Bosh and are scheduled to meet with James on Saturday in Ohio.

Or so Miami gives him all the money he wants.

Meh, Wade strikes me as a guy who wants to win, he's got plenty of money from endorsements.....I think he ends up in Miami unless Miami cant sign any other big name free agents. Then and only then does he bolt imo....

I think he will end up with Bosh because those two seem like they want to WIN. LeBron seems like he cares about the money more than the rings.

I think Bosh and Wade go to Miami because they want to win and LeBron and Amare go to New York because they want the money, and Chicago is picks up David Lee.

I think LeBron wants a ring I just think he wants the easy path to it. Otherwise why doesn't he stay in Cleveland, they have talent, and they could still add a piece with a sign and trade...

Forget what I said I am now buying it... this just in

According to Comcast Sports Chicago on Twitter, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are together at the office of their agent, Henry Thomas, along with Chicago Bulls management on Friday night.

This is obviously getting uglier for the Heat by the minute. And you also have to wonder if LeBron would also be there if he was in Chicago and not Cleveland. And speaking of LeBron, his swap to make his meeting with the Bulls his final one? It's looking like a bigger part of the story than ever. At this point, we wouldn't be surprised if all three players agree to take lower, matching salaries to somehow make a deal work, but that's obviously just speculation.

They would have to do a sign and trade for one of the individuals which would mean Luol Deng is gone.

Could Be Chicago Bulls Depth Chart

Center

1. Joakim Noah

Power Forward

1. Chris Bosh

2. Taj Gibson

Small Forward

1. LeBron James

2. James Johnson

Shooting Guard

1. Dwayne Wade

Of Course they need some more players but that is not a bad start.

Wade is fuging w/ the Bulls. He is distracting them, making them focus all of their attention on him, while Miami sneaks in the for the kill.

Yep thats what I think, however if Miami cant sign any big name guys I think he will bounce....

    • Now now now, I wouldn't say there is no logic, but there's just not a lot of in-depth thought put into Barnwell's  "analysis." Now to be fair to him (and other national writers), pre-season team rankings are basically clickbait. And...Barnwell, himself, said that "there's a lot of projection here." He basically admits that he doesn't know how the hell things are going to turn out with our receiver group. He also said that "I find myself" more intrigued by Coker than Legette; that does not mean that he said that fans should be, or that Coker will even be better than Legette (regardless of ESPN's per-route-run stat). So, yeah, Barnwell said some things, but even he has to basically admit that he doesn't know how bad or good that our playmakers will be in 2025.  Overall, what Barnwell is basically thinking is that the Panthers have gotten worse at the offensive skill positions, and baked into that is that others have gotten better. That's the argument in July (meaning, please don't give this any more weight than it's due). I would personally be surprised (not shocked) if we end up worse than the Titans, Pats and Giants at least. Once you throw in the Bills, Giants, Jets, Steelers, and even the Chargers, I personally think there are several teams' skill groups that may end up ranked lower than ours by the end of 2025.  @kungfoodudeis one of my dudes, but like others he is over the tipping point. He's had enough. Seeing is believing. I will say this though: Barnwell's piece is less about logic than just good ol' opinion. And to be honest, he might as well be a Huddler throwing out sh¡t in the summer based upon nothing but good feels or bad feels.  Our offense as a whole (just like any other team's) is going to depend upon the play of the O-line and especially the QB. How you can even rank the skill positions without expressly baking those two things in the cake is beyond me. I would dare say that that's not even logical.
    • Football is not the professional sport where timidness and apprehension are justly rewarded.
    • Bryce Young had a super high floor definitely at least won't be a bust safe pick we allegedly had seen in some time.......and went on to have one of the worst rookie seasons of all time.  They are all lotto picks.  And that is especially true for whatever they will be day 1 in the NFL.  I don't think Tmac is a sure thing year 1.  It's not like we watched him do his thing in the SEC.  He was a PAC12 guy.  I'm sure it will take time
