oh yeah, harris is a monster magnet. kid is solid as a fuging stump. I've seen him the past couple years. pretty damn fast and hard to bring down. he does need to work on catching though. he's not fluid in his receiving, it looks choppy and uncoordinated at times. glad he's getting some recognition. ARGH

I expect with a number of Texas Tech ex-coaches at ECU, the offense should be outstanding this year. If he has any flaws right now I am sure they are working on them. He is a load and rarely goes down on first contact. If they actually find a quarterback who can throw the ball, he should have an outstanding season.

yeah, pinkney is kind of garbage. inaccurate as all hell, he gets happy feet and can't throw it on target. it's pretty annoying. I don't know what they are going to do without him though, he was the best option after all. kass was even bigger garbage than him.

Last year they had a freshman quarterback who was highly recruited out of Florida I believe someone told me. He would be a sophomore this year and should be in the mix. I suspect they have a few good prospects other than Kass who couldn't play quarterback or tight end last year. I expect they have a few guys who will be ready to play for them.

hope so, i really want to support the team this year. I have slacked off recently due to the fact that I knew skip holtz was going to leave us soon. I get butthurt like that.

I'm ecstatic with the ruffin mcneill pickup though, he's who i wanted the whole time and I'm happy he is finally getting his shot as a head coach.

I might actually go to a game this year. last year i just caught them on the local TV station. Plus we are getting a new student section behind one of the endzones so that should be pretty sweet.

I will be there in the alumni section right next to the student section. It is a 4 hour drive but well worth it. The problem is a Saturday night game and still making it back for a Panther game Sunday at 1PM but I have done it several times last year.

Count me as crazy but I think we will be better this year without Holtz. I was hoping we would be invited into the Big East with all the conference realignments so we could play him every year and put a whooping on his South Florida butt.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
