Is it selling out, or just a natural part of getting older and more comfortable? Lets face it, if you are rich, life isn't lived on the edge as much, unless you do a lot of drugs.

So true. Watching it change quickly from the late 80's to the mid 90's was a shock to me. Then it went from bad to worse the next 5 years. Once record companies realized there was huge money to be made in the pop/adult comtemporary crowd, it was ruined forever. This decade hasn't improved much but every now and then a good album is released that I can stomach.
