My take on Madden NFL 11

oh no you didn't......

As for the rest of that trash you just posted I'm not even going to bother to dignify it by arguing with you.....

Good, cause I don't feel like going back and forth with you all day. I think I'll fill the rest of my day with watching Jack Bauer kill some terrorists, instead of defending my opinion on Madden 11.

I am certainly not a Madden fanboy, but i don't quite understand how someone could write an essay like that based solely on a demo.

I hate agreeing with a Saints fan but me either, and like I said I don't get criticizing a feature thats completely optional or bashing the controls while praising a game with the same controls in your next post.....

But its a demo released two weeks before the actual game is. AND people that have received advanced copiues of the game are just as negative about the game; check youtube.

tried the demo.... the new controls are beyond annoying(both for audibles, hot routes, kicking the ball..) why fix what isn't broke? there is so much stuff they could do, but instead they add stupid unnecessary things like "Swag" ratings, while changing things that didn't need to be changed.

I'll buy it because franchise mode has always been my thing, and (as far as I'm aware) you can't use franchise mode on the demo.

I'm not buying Madden this year for the first time in about 12 to 15 years...

From the commercials and everything I have seen, it is Madden 10 with this years rookie class, and it still has the same crappy AI stuff that has made Madden not-so-fun for the past several years...

I'll wait until it ends up in the used bin, or download new rosters for Madden 10...

Demo is final copy, thats why you wont be finding terrell owens on the bengals when the official game drops, because madden went gold 2 weeks ago.

Yeah, if only they had a way to perhaps update your rosters online...

and LOL @ the guy who said he likes Chris Collinsworth's commentary

As for my take, I do think that it is better than '10, but that's not to say it's without flaws. I will agree that the gameflow mode is pretty dumb, but it's very simple to just go in and change it back to conventional game calling. The new feel of the players running is a lot more realistic, with the momentum and all, and the control over the players is better, too. The changes for the controls for audibles and shifts are stupid, though, it was much easier in '10, but they could update that if enough people complain about it. Overall, it's obviously not perfect, but is still a very enjoyable game if you like playing football games.

Incorrect, demos have to be certified by Sony and M$ before they go on the stores. Usually a demo build is at least a month old. For perspective the demo for NCAA '11 was a late April early May build I believe....

I'm sorry if I like my WRs not to run backwards 20 yards when catching a screen pass and getting tackled for a loss. When i push forward, i wanna go forward, not auto-stiffarm juke backwards or any of that bullpoo..

ugh.. i'm not a 2k5 fanboy, i've never played it tbh, but i do wish madden had some competition at least..
