I don't know about keeping the defense honest, but if Edwards can run the thing, and at least be a threat to throw, could be a nice wrinkle to throw in once or twice a game.

I don't want to see Edwards in the wildcat. It will look just like the Pat White version. The real wildcat is effective with RBs. Carolina should mix it in but they run the mildcat with no RB/WR in motion creating the misdirection.

the wildcat doesn't need a serious passing threat. Carolina doesn't run the wildcat. They lineup in single wing and just run straight. Lamest thing ever.
