Former coach Gruden digs into Carolina Panthers analysis

When he was coaching TB, I hated Gruden. Couldn't stand him.

Since he's been on ESPN I've actually kind of warmed up to the guy. And not just because the shows the Panthers love, but you get to see that the guy knows his football.

Interesting man, that Chucky.

My feelings exactly. And Zod is almost right (I think Chris Collinsworth is a wee bit more polished).

And Gruden is right about Fox, we need to hold on to him. I believe that the plan is to do that, but with this "rebuild" of the team Fox and Richardson are waiting on the results of this season to see what the price tag should be.

I also believe that Jerry fully expects there to be no football in 2011 right now and he doesn't want to sign a coaching contract (which will pay whether the NFL plays or not) until he knows whether the first year will be paying for an active coach or a massive paid vacation for someone.

And yes, I believe Gruden is right about our defense. Even with a more nameworthy unit last year, we had a problem keeping opponents under 20 points. This year, we'd better start scoring early and often.
