I've been all over New England snowboarding. You can't go wrong in VT. Massive mountains and great powder usually. As for Maine, you would have a blast at either Sunday River or Sugarloaf. Plenty of bars and you can usually get a place to stay that looks right onto the mountain itself.

If you're feeling really adventurous, head up to Mt. Tremblant in Quebec.
