Way too early to tell, but I don't see how they would keep Pike over Cantwell. Cantwell is cheap, has a much stronger arm, and has a years more experience. They would really have to see some flash of future potential in Pike to keep him IMO. I think he will ultimately serve his purpose as 1) insurance if Clausen sucked, and 2) best value available in the draft in case they want to trade him.

In that regard I think they have to be happy with him. Just for the sake of comparison, Tampa Bay cut Jevan Snead before the first preseason game.

i think they just wanted to see what cantwell can do in a 2 min situation, after see what the chargers did wit charlie whitehaust i think we can get a 6th for cantwell maybe a 5th if lucky
