Downloading music on campus

Has anyone done it, or know anyone that did it? I haven't, and don't plan to, because I'm pretty sure the first time I did, id get busted (just my own paranoia). I was just reading the annual Digital Millennium Copyright Act email the university sent me and got curious. and I don't mean like itunes, more like Utorrent...

I've known people to do it. Mostly Limewire though. None of them got caught.

My new school will not allow the downloading of torrents though.

i pretty much killed a computer in 2005 cuz i was getting everything off of limewire. music and vids and viruses. my own poor practices, but still haven't risked it since scrapping that machine.

you should be able to check out CDs from your library also. borrow and rip.

I doubt they are filtering through the tons of data that is coming in every minute. What are they going to do? Charge you with something? There is no criminal case to be made.

IMO it depends on whether you have the balls to do it or not.

My bro goes to U of Illinois and he downloads torrents. I have friends who go to the same school who ask me to send them sh it because kids have been caught before.
