Just incase you needed more evidence that Peppers is a moron...

And Peppers is right. Its impossible for a fan to know just by the numbers is a player is slacking off, or having a bad game, or if the other team is just doing a good job.

That being said, Peppers was wrong about one thing. Jake did not get a raw deal. He got a boatload of money from us, so its hard to see how he got a raw deal. He got let go because he didn't perform, and he still got a lot of money. Thats not a raw deal.

I disagree.. people who watch him week after and week, and a few lucky ones who make a living at it, can make that call. It's not exclusive to folks who are on the sidelines with him. Otherwise, we'd have no scouts, analysts, etc to begin with. Why bother? No such thing as an expert opinion?

To put it layman's terms... just because I can't paint, doesn't mean I can't crititque an artist's work, nor appreciate it when they produce a masterpiece. I don't have to be looking over his shoulder every single day to know when he is puttnig his soul into a painting, and when he is just half-asssing it. I have a brain and can distinguish between the two.

I understand that being in the locker room does present different facets the general public does not see. I understand you get to know the guys in there like family. But being on the team does not make you uniquely qualified to assess a player's performance and self-motivation. I'm a firm believer that results and hustle are big indicators of those. Anyone who watched Pep play can tell you he had days where he both under and overachieved. We hoped for the latter, but sometimes got the former. But that's Pep, and now he's Chicago's headache to worry over ;)

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
