Jake and Lucas

Damn people, Jake looked pretty good to me. Yeah, he threw a couple of bad balls, but for the most part he was on target all night.

BTW, that first long completion Tampa got on us looked like a blown coverage to me. It looked like Lucas passed his man off, but I don't know if it was even Marshall that was supposed to take him, or if one of the safeties was supposed to have the deep coverage.

I wouldn't go that far. He hardly ever puts the ball right on the money, which increases the likelihood of interceptions. Some of the tipped ints have been because of overthrows, and passes thrown behind receivers. I love Jake as our QB but I'm not going to absolve him of his mistakes.

I disagree. Tonight, anyways, most of his throws were right on the money. Hell, if Brad Hoover hadn't dropped two that hit him in the hands Jake's completion percentage would be amazing.

1. That's the lamest excuse for poor play i've ever heard.

2. I have a black lab too! :D

meh. My point is his interceptions have been flukey because they're the same type of bad throws that the bradys and mannings and everyone else usually get away with.

And she's a mix. She's full grown and only 35 pounds.

I agree with you. Hell, that second INT really just looked like a miscommunication between Jake and Stewart, and the defender just made a hell of a play. Sometimes you have to give the opponent a little credit too.

BTW, King also dropped one tonight.

i think gamble has played pretty solid, but your right for the most part. i dont know if it was trogos prevent D because we had the lead, or if they were all just getting burned tonight, but something wasnt right.

at the beginning of the season, the were probably the strongest unit on the team.

Yeah, really for most of the season's first half they seemed like the biggest strength of the defense. It's puzzling that there's been a drop off lately.

    • Well yeah. Last time vs NO if we had had good QB play and half ass pass pro it is a different game. And that is the story more often, in point of fact, than the two or three hero games everyone wants to use to define the player.  That box was so stacked against the run it was basically impossible to break through it, you had to go over and around. It is what we knew was gonna be employed by teams and we were unable to stop them from doing it.    I am real interested to see the first 3rd and 8 and see how NO defenses it in the back end. Because they can look at that Rams tape and learn, but will they have enough fear/respect that it can happen to them or will we need to prove it again before they do?   Most people don’t learn from others’ mistakes and  need to make their own.
    • I like that Tillis is so down to earth  we will see where it goes ill say something controversial on a day that, along with next week, determines the panthers 2025  and 2026 fate  he referenced ‘money ball’, statistics and self scouting multiple times. it really makes me feel that Bryce will be back regardless of what happens over the next 4 games as that is the smart move for financial stability but by no means does that guarantee Bryce anything past that.  They will improve year over year regardless of position or who is affected       however, they will do the appropriate diligence and not cut off their nose to spite their face….it won’t be an emotional decision…unlike us Huddlers….for example, if Young’s happy ass shits the bed today, I’ll be less than pleased ..particularly having seen what they will do and having a bye week.  Brandon Staley is a good defensive coordinator and former HC.  His defense is aging but he can still develop a good game plan
    • Something like 24 now. The first 6 minutes were fun, after that, oh man. It was cool tho, a near capacity, with both teams well supported.
