Legit Question- If you aren't in support of the team...why are you here?

Hate to seem the team lose. On the other hand, GOODBYE fox ball and goodbye davidson. Overall, we have not developed a young WR (exception Smitty) or a QB for crap, under fox. We have not seriously addressed either, as well. We did draft Clausen (much later than he should have went, I might add), but who have we passed up in the FA market and drafts over the years? Bringing in washed up vets (or not very good ones to start with), beyond their prime, is not addressing the situation. Then say, paying vets the money doesn't work??? Of coarse, it doesn't when you decisions like that, jeez. The stadium looked pretty empty on T.V. Lots of lost revenue in concessions and merchandise sales (wonder if that was taken into account by ole jerry and its STILL cheaper in the end). The PSLs may trick the "sell out" portion of the equation, though. If you want people to come out and spend money in this economy, then put out a quality product on the field. Shame of the FO (richardson) for not doing what it takes to not to put fans in the WTF mode. Just because someone expresses an opinion that doesn't resemble "I have been drinking fox and richardson kool-aide", doesn't mean they are not a fan. If they didn't care, they probably won't have even taken the time to post anything. Some people want and expect more than others, I guess. Again, hate to see the team lose but, the silver-lining...goodbye fox. Better hope the fans crave football after a year (and the team wins) or bring a big name coach or player to build the excitement back, if there is a lockout. Because the Carolinas are more of a college fan base and a dismal year may hurt worse than ole jerry thought it might....

It baffles me that people are so quick to hate the team. To gloat about being right that we suck. To be happy when we lose. I can't do it. I can't not support the team, I can't go a day without wearing my Panther hate. I have family in Detriot that never quit on the Lions during 0-16. And there were real fans in those stands cheering on the team.

No, I'm not content with mediocrity, but its pretty said when the players are out there, for the fans, and there are self proclaimed "fans" that hate on the team, they are out there for. So I ask you, if you don't like the team. If you are tired of watching the team, if you want to root for another team, Why are you here?

I'm disappointed DP... Again, you're choosing to frame it that way. Why ask this question when you already answered it in the title? Why not discuss this in the thread I made about "support." I made valid points in it in my response to your posts and you didn't respond back, instead you make your own thread about it and complain that if your name isn't DPantherman and you're not posting links from Mike Florio every 30 secs then you're not a real fan...

This pisses me off man... Give me a break. IF WE DIDN'T SUPPORT THIS TEAM, WE WOULDN'T BE HERE WASTING OUR TIME DISCUSSING IT. THIS IS A STUPID ASS THREAD. But I'm sure no one will bash it because this fuging incestuous circle jerk of internet fanboyism we have here...

As I said, support of players = team. Support through monetary means = owner. Frame it how you want. This is my team, win, lose, draw, life, death... I'll always be a Panther fan, and anybody can make up their own shitty strawman argument to try and test that if they want, I don't give a fug... You can just go make another attention whoring thread about it.

so where or whom is not showing support out here? if people didn't care they wouldn't post.

posting a forum automatically means that? I mean I ask 1 question and people come right at me. I have to explain myself over and over. there may not be 1 person that doesn't support the team, thats why it was a question, and if it doesn't apply to anyone, it doesn't apply.

    • My general thoughts on the roster as it stands right now:  - Most interesting positions to watch: TE, NT, WR.  - If we add a TE I feel like it'll be a bigger name FA or Kenyon Sadiq in the 1st round. I don't expect us to take a TE that early with our need at tackle, though, so it's likely one of the top FA TEs or we ride with Tremble/Sanders/Evans again. Signing a mid-level FA or drafting another mid-round TE isn't going to help us at this point. We have three of those guys already.  - I don't buy the 1st/2nd round WR hype. I do think we will sign someone to play the slot because XL is... not good. John Metchie, Juan Jennings and Calvin Austin would make sense if the money does.  - NT could be interesting because I don't get the sense that they view Bobby Brown as a true starter. This could be a position we look to add a veteran starter at or possibly take one early in the draft.  - Devin Lloyd was a huge addition, but we need another starter beside him. I fully expect us to go after one in the 2nd round. Jacob Rodriguez makes a ton of sense here.  - The Luke Fortner signing gives us a veteran fallback at center this season. I don't expect he'll end up being our long-term starter, but it's likely he will at least begin the year atop the depth chart. Even if we draft a center it's unlikely that player ends up being a day-one starter. But I think right now we're likely targeting a center in the 3rd-4th round as that seems to be where the value is.  - We have no punter on the roster. Interested to see if we sign a veteran or go the draft/UDFA route.  - The OT situation is pretty bleak. I now fully expect us to take a tackle at #19, but even after the Stone Forsythe signing we also need better depth there. Brady Christensen would be an idea re-signing; I also like Jamaree Salyer from the Chargers as a younger option that still has room to develop.  - Guard depth is also lacking. Again, having a versatile backup like Brady Christensen would go a long way toward having some security for our entire OL, but even if he comes back we should add another veteran backup, IMO.  - I assume Lathan Ransom would be the starting FS if we played today, but we know Evero loves him some Nick Scott so I won't be surprised if/when we re-sign him. He's basically the defensive version of David Moore, unfortunately. Ideally we'd look to add a true FS, but I don't get the sense that is a big priority at the moment.  - Nickel corner is a need and I fully expect us to sign someone in the next few days to upgrade over Chau Smith-Wade. Long-term, I won't be shocked if we go CB earlier in the draft than people might expect given Mike Jackson's contract expires after this year.  - I wouldn't be shocked to see us sign a RB. Sean Tucker or Brian Robinson could be interesting. We know what Chuba can do, but Jonathon Brooks has to be considered a question mark at this point.
    • Considering the Raiders and Crosby’s disagreements about his health late last year and the Ravens’ history of being an extremely well run organization I lean towards the Ravens not being in the wrong here
    • Hoping for Chig as the TE signing.  N'joku and Goedert are more proven and names, but give me the guy entering his prime that hasn't missed a game over the older guys with better stats but injury history.
