If we end up 0-5 going into the bye week, we NEED to fire/cut SOMEBODY!

...at the very least as a statement. I doubt it will happen, but it should. Davidson, Fox, Jarrett...your pick. From Davidson, there are two things I saw that pissed me off immensely

1.) We stopped running screens after the 1st one worked well

2.) We kept running the same pass pattern with Gettis when Clausen was struggling to hit Gettis with it. The defense almost picked it off on that same pattern (Thanks to Gettis for breaking it up)

I actually would choose Davidson as the most likely to get the pink slip. If Steve Smith is out for an extended amount of time, I can see us keeping Jarrett around. Also, Fox probably won't get cut no matter what he does.

A statement needs to be made though.

You need to add to you list - 3) Not one deep ball thrown. I kept hearing the announcers all game talking about how depleted and injured the Saints Secondary was, yet except for the one ball to Stewart there was not a single deep ball thrown all game.

I definatly do not understand why there was not a single screen run again the entire game.

I dont think anybody will be fired before the season is over. If so, it should be Fox. He is the leader and the one calling the shots. He should have been gone after last season. I think he is only here because of the CBA issue.

If we fire Fox or a coordinator, then we'll just promote up another scrub from our dysfunctional system. Just ride it out and try to get some actual talent from outside the org once the season is over.

Seriously, my nightmare is Fox getting canned and Davidson, Meeks or Skipper becoming our HC.

Be interesting to see Fox and Davidson blown out.

Meeks handed the keys, Skipper elevated to OC.

I dont know that is a good very good argument, I hate to say it but it wouldnt be such a nightmare for Meeks to run this team. He might bring a new somewhat fresh swagger we have seen from a few good coordinators in the last few years. Im not saying I would for sure but you have to really think. In a game or two we let fox go that is like a audition for some one who might get hired see what you got without hiring you poo it fits the new cheap motto we employ. Meeks almost recieved the indy HC then didnt want to stay he was brought up under the great Tony Dungy, you never know thats all im saying before Peppers seperates another soldier. (ahhh next week)

    • And those targets are mostly going to TMac, who will be a part of the FUTURE of the team. Did it remove the most reliable WR and Bryce's safety blanket? Absolutely. But it's also allowing him to build better chemistry with TMac, Stephens, Horn, Evans, etc. I am pumped to see Coker back and hopefully they can reignite that connection.
    • It's the same thing that made Bryce the #1 overall pick. I've never seen such mass delusion about a football player before. Everyone convinced themselves that the fact that Bryce was below to severely below average in practically every physical attribute for an NFL QB just wouldn't matter because he has everything else you need and that'll more than make up for it. When has such an argument ever been made for an NFL prospect before? We watch prospects plummet every year because they run a couple tenths slower in the 40 time than expected. Smitty had everything you want in a receiver except he was 5'9" so he goes in the 3rd round. That's the way these things generally go. If you check a lot of boxes but leave some key ones unchecked you're not an elite prospect. With Bryce though, the physically limitations were always obvious so it gave more time to be able to build that into the equation and come up with reasons for why he'd be able to overcome it. Now we have all these same shortcomings having shone brightly on the NFL field and we STILL have people trying to convince themselves he'll be able to overcome it while ignoring that our past two wins and his improved play have come while riding the back of RB putting up GOAT RB production over the past two weeks. What changed wasn't Bryce. What changed is that Rico is playing out of his damn mind. Pretty much every NFL roster caliber QB can shine if he can get 200+ yards out of the RB behind him.
    • I'm gonna manifest that poo!
